The mission of High Places Community Church is to establish a biblically based church model that is principle centered. We will always aim to reflect the essence of Jesus who is "the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb 13:8) while being forever free and equipped to adapt to our ever-changing world and culture-generation to generation.
Our ministries will be bound by the following ministry principles:
Three Foundational Principles
1. Every church is unique with a unique calling and niche to fill. (ours being no exception)
2. Leaders are called to serve the church and not to use their position or platform as a stepping stone for something "greater".
3. It is not what we do that matters most rather it is how we use what we do.
Four "Paradigm" Principles
1. Mission and Vision - the source of faith and motivational energy that comes from the call and direction God has placed upon High Places Community Church, explaining both why we exist and what we believe God wants to accomplish in and through us.
2. Profile - a practical clarification of the qualities we believe God wants to establish in people through the ministries and service of High Places'. Our aims are to teach, encourage and reinforce these qualities in all that we do. Specifically we aim to become a people who are:
Radical in the likeness of Jesus.
Worshipping God of the Bible.
Walking with (experiencing) God everyday.
Becoming - eternally secure, knowledgeable, wise & principled and a people who exemplify positive character & integrity.
Multiplying by means of spiritual and physical investments in people and ministries.
Resting - physically, emotionally spiritually for balance and good health.
3. The Five-Stage Environment - a means for identifying which ministries and programs are best for this church in accordance with our mission and vision and profile.
The five ministry stages are:
● Community ● Leadership
● Outreach ● Multiplication
● Discipleship/Growth
Our programs and activities are under continual review and development. Every ministry and program of the church can be identified and defined according to one of these stages. This maximizes our ability to serve multiple needs and interests while maintaining a healthy balance in the life of the church.
4. Invitation and Challenge - clearly presented information that enables each individual to: hear the call, count the cost, and make the correct decision for him or herself regarding specific opportunities to participate and to grow - without misgivings or guilt about those decisions.
